Driving down Route 20 in the Charlton area, you may have noticed a Resort called "The Barkwood Inn." This 12,000 square foot facility offers Luxury Boarding Suites, an Interactive Daycamp Program, Dayboarding, and Bathing services.  With heated floors, central air, filtered drinking water, hospital grade air filtration, soothing music, webcams, and so much more, your dog or cat will be sure to have fun.

As you know, most people spoil their Pets - that's why the friendly Staff at The Barkwood Inn do everything possible to offer your best friend all the comforts of home, and then some. All Staff Members are certified in Pet CPR/First Aid and most are certified Pet Care Specialists. With 24-hour Resident supervision, you can rest assured that your Pet is being well cared for while you are at work or away.

The Barkwood Inn was designed to maximize comfort and minimize stress while our Guests are away from their families. This is cage-free boarding at its finest.  The caring Staff Members are pet lovers just like you and know what they would want for their own pets.  Each Suite has a comfortable bed, a full view glass door, separate ventilation for fresh air, and Webcams for the family to check-in to see what their cat or dog is doing. No need to worry, the cats and dogs are in different locations of the Resort to minimize stress. You can also watch your dog play in one of our many Indoor and Outdoor Play Areas.

The Resort Staff will proudly take you on a tour of the facility, where you will get to see our Junior, Deluxe and VIP Suites.  (Yes, these truly are Suites, not runs). View our Daycamp Program that offers exercise, socialization and fun under the supervision of our professionally trained Staff.  Dayboarding services are also available for a more private time for your Pet, including one on one play time, or just cuddling with our passionate Staff.  Dayboarding is ideal for Pets who are recovering from surgery or injury, or would just prefer to be with people rather than our other Guests.
